Thursday linkage

Today I have only a few links to some recent news or other pages, each not enough meat to write a whole posting about it, but still noteworthy enough not to be ignored.

• Former Bangkok governor passes away - Krisda Arunvongse na Ayutthaya (กฤษฎา อรุณวงศ์ ณ อยุธยา), Bangkok governor 19 April 1992 to 18 April 1996, died on 12 January 2010 at age 78.
• Deepsouthwatch has another article on the proposed administrative changes for the Pattani region at Another Model: From Ministry of Southern Border Provinces to "Three Cities", however sadly only the introduction has been translated to English so far.
• At the website of the Institute of Public Policy Studies (IPPS) I found the book The Understanding of Local Administration (ความเข้าใจเรื่องการปกครองท้องถิ่น) by Sanit Chornanan, which sounds like a good introduction into the local administration system in Thailand - however sadly only in Thai.
